Kelce
Sex: Spayed Female Age: ~ 8-9 Years Old Date Admitted: January 29, 2025 Reason Admitted: "Stray" VET CARE RECEIVED FIV/FeLV tested (negative) Partially vaccinated Flea/mite treated and dewormed with Revolution About Kelce: Kelce was dropped off at our shelter and was said to be a stray. Upon arrival, we discovered Kelce was in poor shape due to a condition called pyometra. This develops from a female cat (or dog) not being spayed and having multiple heat cycles, causing their uterus to fill up with pus and discharge. This condition can be fatal if not treated urgently with an emergency spay surgery. Luckily, Kelce was diagnosed as soon as she came to us and had her surgery right away. She is now recovering well and ready to find her forever home. She is a very sweet girl who enjoys the company of humans and does not mind other cats or well behaved dogs! |
