Ever since Grace could talk, she loved animals. Finally when she was 3 we decided we would try a cat. A co-worker of mine volunteered at the SPCA. I asked her to keep her eyes out for a cuddly cat - not a normal cat in other words - but a cat that acted more like a dog. And Whiskers the cat entered our lives shortly afterwards. He is a dog in a cat's body. A few more years went by and she began asking about a dog. Almost 2 years ago she was out with her Dad and I was browsing Facebook when I saw on the SPCA site that 3 puppies were bring brought in. I called, and they said he was ours! The next day we brought Grace up to "look" at the new puppies as we often did and told her this little guy who was running around was ours! Both animals have brought so much extra love into our home - we can't imagine a time when they weren't here. They get along so well together, even sleeping together at times - and I personally think they look related! Lol.  It was definitely meant to be!!
