While we are always in need of monetary donations to help with the costs associated with the care of the hundreds of homeless animals that come through our shelter every year, donations of items used in the day-to-day operations of the shelter are also much needed and appreciated by the staff and animals alike!
Donations can be dropped off at our shelter at 36 McCurdy Drive, Gander during our office hours (9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM daily).

If you are unable to drop items off to the shelter or prefer to shop online, we have an Amazon Wishlist where you can purchase items to be delivered directly to our shelter from Amazon!
The Gander and Area SPCA offers a sponsorship program where individuals, community groups, or businesses pledge to sponsor a cat room, dog kennel, cat kennel in our shelter for one year.
Your contribution as a sponsor supports the daily care required by the animals that call that space home during their stay with us, providing them with food, vet care, and a warm bed.

REPORT ANIMAL NEGLECT OR CRUELTYTo report animal neglect or cruelty in Newfoundland and Labrador...
You may make a report to the SPCA by dialing 709-651-3002 during office hours.
Due to current Newfoundland and Labrador legislation, the Gander and Area SPCA cannot investigate animal cruelty cases and reports should be directed to the appropriate law enforcement agency. If the complaint pertains to an event in the town of Gander: Please contact the Gander Municipal Police at 256-4065 For complaints pertaining to an event in other areas: Please contact your local RCMP detachment. |
